Plagiarism Policy

JISRev is firmly committed to upholding academic integrity and combating all forms of plagiarism. Authors must ensure that their submissions are entirely original and that any content derived from other sources is properly cited and referenced.

Definition of Plagiarism
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text, ideas, images, or data from other sources without proper attribution.

  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without acknowledgment.

  • Submitting the same work (or a significant part of it) to more than one journal (self-plagiarism) without disclosure and permission.

Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts submitted to JISRev are subject to plagiarism detection using reliable software tools before they enter the peer review process. The editorial team reserves the right to reject a manuscript at any stage if plagiarism is detected.

Acceptable Similarity Threshold
As a general guideline, the journal considers a similarity index of no more than 20% to be acceptable, with no single source exceeding 5%. Any manuscript exceeding this threshold will be returned to the author for revision or outright rejection, depending on the severity.

Consequences of Plagiarism
If plagiarism is confirmed at any stage of the publication process:

  • The manuscript will be immediately rejected or, if already published, retracted.

  • The author(s) may be blacklisted from future submissions to the journal.

  • Notification may be sent to the author’s affiliated institution or funding agency.
