This research is a library study employing a descriptive-qualitative approach to examine the meaning and symbolic message of the spider from both Qur’anic and scientific perspectives. The primary focus of the study is Surah Al-‘Ankabūt verse 41, which presents the parable of the spider’s house as a symbol of weakness for those who take protectors other than Allah. From an etymological and modern scientific standpoint, spiders are known as creatures with remarkable abilities to produce webs made of silk threads that are both strong and flexible. However, the Qur’an describes the spider’s house as the weakest of all houses. According to Qur’anic commentators, this weakness does not lie in the physical strength of the thread, but in the overall structure and function of the house—physically, socially, and spiritually. Both classical and modern interpretations explain that this parable is metaphorical, illustrating the frailty of relying on anything other than Allah, which in essence offers neither true benefit nor protection. This study demonstrates a harmony between the Qur’anic text and scientific findings when viewed comprehensively and contextually
