HADITS KESAKSIAN NUBUWAT NABI MUHAMMAD SAW: Kajian Terhadap Sudut Pandang Ahli Kitab

Abstract

Prophet Muhammad SAW is the last Prophet and was sent to all mankind. In the divine book he was predicted to come as the final prophet. This study wants to explain how the people of the book who lived during the time of the Prophet Muhammad saw matched the characteristics of the last Prophet and their testimony about the prophecies of the Prophet Muhammad saw through the study of Hadith and Sirah. The method used in this study is a bibliographic method, namely a historical approach and chronology of the conversion to Islam of the people of the book at the time of the Prophet Muhammad. This study found that there are 11 Hadith and Sirah related to the testimony of the people of the book regarding the prophecies of the Prophet Muhammad. They believe through their faith that the Prophet Muhammad had the physical characteristics as mentioned in their book and he led to the same creed of monotheism, the same Sharia law and the same moral teachings. This research also found that although all the people of the book witnessed the prophecies of the Prophet Muhammad, not all of them believed and converted to Islam. Hopefully this study will provide enlightenment for Muslims and increase confidence in the truth of the message of the Prophet Muhammad.
